Report on Visit of St. Paul College of Pharmacy Students to the (OPD and IPD) Of Vishachikitsa (Ayurveda Toxicology)

A group of students from St. Paul College of Pharmacy visited the Vishachikitsa Department (OPD and IPD) at Bhausaheb Mulak Ayurvedic Mahavidyalaya and Hospital, Nandanvan, Nagpur on 16 March 2026. The visit was organized to provide the students with clinical exposure and an understanding of Ayurvedic practices related to Concepts of Ayurveda Toxicology, Forensic Medicine and Medicolegal Aspects of Clinical Practice (Medical Jurisprudence).
During the visit, the students observed the functioning of both the Outpatient Department (OPD) and Inpatient Department (IPD). They were introduced to various diagnostic procedures, treatment approaches, and patient care practices followed in the department for the management of conditions according to Ayurvedic principles in Vishachikitsa Department (OPD and IPD).
The students also had the opportunity to interact with the patient and gain practical insights into hospital functioning and clinical management of Ayurveda dermatology, treatment of bites and stings of poisonous insect and poisonous animals. Students also introduced with Drug induced Toxicity, Adverse Drug reaction and its management and Pharmacovigilance, Toxicovigilance Different acts applied in Clinical Practices.
The visit was informative and beneficial for the students, helping them understand the practical application of Ayurveda Toxicology.
