1. Objective
To create patient awareness about osteoporosis, its risk factors, prevention, healthy bone practices, and the importance of timely assessment and care.
2. Activity Proceedings
The Department of Shalyatantra organised a one-day World Osteoporosis Day awareness camp at the Shalyatantra OPD, Bhausaheb Mulak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Nandanvan, Nagpur, on 17th October 2026. World Osteoporosis Day is observed on 17 October; the camp was conducted,
Dr. Meena Alnewar, Professor and Head, Department of Shalyatantra, enlightened patients about osteoporosis, preventive measures, risk reduction, and healthy lifestyle practices. The programme was held in Shalyatantra OPD. Fellow lecturers and supporting staff of the Department of Shalyatantra coordinated and conducted the camp.
3. Outcome
A total of 44 patients benefited from the awareness camp. The activity provided information on osteoporosis prevention, bone health, risk factors, and the importance of seeking timely professional advice.
4. Conclusion
The programme contributed to patient education and health awareness by promoting preventive practices and greater understanding of osteoporosis and bone health.
