As a part of the celebration of International Yoga Week 2026, the Department of Swasthavrutta & Yoga organized a Guest Lecture on 20 June 2026.
The topic of the lecture was “ Career Opportunities in Yoga.” The session was delivered by Dr. Bharat Gupta, who shared valuable insights regarding the growing scope of yoga as a professional career in India and abroad. He elaborated on various educational programs, career pathways, research opportunities, clinical applications, teaching prospects, and entrepreneurship in the field of yoga.
The resource person also motivated students to pursue advanced studies and specialized training in yoga to contribute to the promotion of holistic health and wellness in society.
The lecture was followed by prize distribution for the different competitions conducted throughout the week in the presence of honourable guest speaker Dr. Gupta, principal Dr. Yuvraj Kale and other dignitaries.
The event was successfully conducted by the Department of Swasthavrutta & Yoga under the guidance of principal Dr. Yuvraj Kale, Dr. Madhavi Rehpade, Head of the Department, with the support of faculty members Dr. Mamta Talmale , Dr. Omprakash Gulhane, Dr. Sharayu Gajapure, Dr. Rupali Bhanare, and Dr. Snehal Bhamkar, along with PG students and other staff members of the department.
The prize distribution program was followed by healthy snacks distribution.
