Objective
To create awareness among patients about Trauma, Fractures, First Aid and Safe Transportation post trauma, risk reduction, and the importance of early
and timely medical consultation.
Activity and Proceedings:
The Department of Shalyatantra organised a patient-awareness camp on World Trauma Day on 17 October 2026 at the Shalyatantra OPD. Under the guidance of Dr. Meena Alnewar, Professor and Head, Department of Shalyatantra, Dr. Sharad Tripathi, Associate Professor, Shalyatantra, sensitised and enlightened patients on Trauma and Casualties occurring due to Delayed Medical Help. The programme was conducted in the presence of Dr. Yuwaraj Kale, Principal, with the participation of Shalyatantra faculty and supporting staff.
Outcome
A total of 42 patients benefited from the awareness activity. The camp promoted understanding of Trauma prevention, safe transport practices, and the value of seeking early Medical Help.
