Report on Alzheimer’s day camp.
The PG Department of Kayachikitsa, Bhausaheb Mulak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Nandanvan, Nagpur organized an Alzheimer’s Day Camp on 1st October 2026 under the guidance of Principal Dr. Y. D. Kale , Dr. C. S. Tanmane, HOD & Professor, PG Department of Kayachikitsa and Dr. S. Bhagadkar, Deputy Superintendent.
A total of 108 patients attended the camp. The patients underwent clinical examination, assessment, diagnosis, BMD (Bone Mineral Density) testing, and appropriate treatment. Ayurvedic medicines were provided free of cost, along with counselling and guidance regarding Alzheimer’s disease, patient care, and supportive measures.
The camp was conducted with the active participation of Dr. Bhairavi Nimbarte, Dr. Umeed Raut, Dr. Nayan Deshmukh, Dr. Ashwini Nakade, Dr. Mayuri Shingnapurkar, Dr. Kumud Bahurupi, and along with PG students and interns.
The camp successfully contributed to early assessment, appropriate management, and awareness regarding Alzheimer’s disease and healthy ageing.
