World Diabetes Day 2025 (Awareness & Screening Camp)

On the occasion of World Diabetes Day, on 14th November 2025, the PG Department of Kayachikitsa, Bhausaheb Mulak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Nandanvan, Nagpur, organized a Diabetes Awareness and Screening Camp in the OPD premises.

The program was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Yuwaraj Kale, Principal, BMAM Nagpur; Dr. Sangeeta Bhagadkar, Deputy Superintendent, BMAM Hospital; and Dr. C. S. Tanmane, HOD and Professor, Department of Kayachikitsa.

Activities for Students

A series of educational activities were arranged, especially for final-year students:

1. Educational Drama based on World Diabetes Day.

2. Essay and Poster Competition on the theme “Madhumeha – A Global Challenge.”

All clinical faculty members attended the program. The final-year BAMS students delivered an engaging and informative drama, while PG students presented the introductory session. The event saw the active participation of students and faculty members, making it both meaningful and impactful. The drama, conducted under the guidance of Dr. C. S. Tanmane, was particularly appreciated for its informative and creative presentation.

Camp Highlights

A total of 103 patients were examined during the camp. Additional counseling sessions were provided on healthy lifestyle practices.

The camp offered a comprehensive range of health services, including:

1. Free RBS testing and diabetes screening

2. Free Diet consultation

3. Specialist diabetes consultations

4. Free distribution of Ayurvedic medicines

A dedicated team of doctors, nursing staff, and volunteers worked diligently to ensure smooth execution and quality care. The camp witnessed continuous participation and was successfully coordinated throughout the day.
