Educational Visit To Aura Park, PHC & Gorewada Water Plant

Bhausaheb Mulak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Medical Science and Research Hospital, Nagpur organized an educational field visit to Aura Conservation Park, Bazargaon on 13/03/2026 for the students of Second Year BAMS

The visit was organized by the Department of Dravyaguna Vigyan and Swasthavritta with the objective of providing practical knowledge about medicinal plants, biodiversity conservation, and environmental awareness.
During the visit, students observed a wide variety 400 of medicinal plants, herbal gardens, and conserved forest areas. Information regarding biodiversity and organic compost making was explained to the students. The visit was guided by Mr. Ambarish Ghatate, who elaborated on various conservation activities and the importance of environmental protection.

The educational visit also included a study visit to the Primary Health Centre where detailed information about the functioning of PHC, healthcare services, and public health programs was given by Dr. Chaudhari. Students also visited the Gorewada Water Treatment Plant, where they learned about water purification processes and the importance of safe drinking water management.

A total of 80 students, 5 teaching staff, and 4 postgraduate students were present during the visit. The field visit was highly informative and students actively participated with great enthusiasm throughout the program.

The visit was successfully carried out under the guidance of Dr. Sunita Paradkar, Dr. Mamta Talmale, Dr. Sanket Mohata, Dr. Piyusha Sarode, and Dr. Omprakash Gulhane.
