Report on World Alzheimer’s Day Celebration
The PG Department of Kayachikitsa, Bhausaheb Mulak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Nandanvan, Nagpur organized a World Alzheimer’s Day Celebration on 30th September 2026 under the guidance of Principal Dr. Y. D. Kale and Dr. C. S. Tanmane, HOD & Professor, PG Department of Kayachikitsa
The programme began at 10:30 AM with Deep Prajwalan, followed by the introductory address by Dr. C. S. Tanmane.
Dr. Shriram Jyotishi Sir delivered an informative talk on Alzheimer’s disease, awareness, and patient care.
Students participated in Essay, Slogan, and Poster Competitions, judged by:
Essay: Dr. Alnewar & Dr. Wagh
Slogan: Dr. Charde & Dr. Rehpade
Poster: Dr. Bhalmey & Dr. Marghade
Students also performed a street play highlighting Alzheimer’s disease, its impact on patients and families, and the importance of care and support.
Senior citizens (Jyeshtha Nagrik) also participated in the awareness programme.
The programme was supported by Dr. Bhairavi Nimbarte, Dr. Umeed Raut, Dr. Nayan Deshmukh, Dr. Ashwini Nakade, Dr. Mayuri Shingnapurkar, along with all PG students and interns.
The entire programme was conducted and anchored by Dr. Kumud Bahurupi, and concluded with a vote of thanks.
