Educational Visit by Shri Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur

On 30th July 2026, the Second Year BAMS undergraduate students along with postgraduate students of the Dravyaguna Department from Shri Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur,* visited Bhausaheb Mulak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Medical Science & Research Hospital, Nandanvan, Nagpur, for an educational tour.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome by the Department of Dravyaguna.
The students were taken on a guided tour of the OPD and IPD sections of the hospital. The hospital visit was coordinated by Dr. Bhagadkar Madam (Deputy Medical Superintendent) and Sarita Sister, who explained the functioning of various departments and patient care services.
The students subsequently visited the Herbal Garden, where they were introduced to a wide variety of medicinal plants. Students actively participated in the interactive session.
The visit also included the Quality Control (QC) Laboratory and Dravyaguna Department where students were familiarized with applications, and utility of various pharmacognosy & phytochemical laboratory instruments.
Total 98 UG students, 2 PG students, & 1 Assistant professor from Shri Ayurved Mahavidyalaya were participated in the visit*.
We received positive feedback from the Students and Faculty about Herbal garden, Hospital, QC Lab and Dravyaguna Department for well organized maintained,cleanliness and cooperative staff.
The event was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sunita Paradkar, Professor & Head, Department of Dravyaguna, with the permission and gracious support of Honourable Principal Dr. Y. D. Kale
The programme witnessed the active participation of the teaching faculty of the Department of Dravyaguna, including (Dr. Pravina Daf (Associate Professor), Dr. Sanket Mohata,& Dr. Piyusha Sarode (Assistant Professor), whose dedicated efforts contributed to the successful conduct of the educational visit.
