Report of Alzheimer Camp

On the occasion of Alzheimer’s day on 21/09/2024, the Kayachikitsa department of Bhausaheb Mulak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya successfully organized a free health check-up camp aimed specifically for the elderly population at 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The initiative aimed to provide essential health check-ups, personalized consultations, and raise awareness about Alzheimer disease in the elderly. Inauguration of camp was done in presence of our principal Dr.Yuwaraj Kale and deputy medical superintendent Dr. Sangeeta Bhagadkar mam & HOD of Kayachikitsa Dr. C. S Tanmane, Dr. Sandhya Wagh, Dr. Meena Alnewar, Dr. Vidya Ingole Dr. Madhavi Rehpade, were Also present. Camp starts with lecture on Alzheimer day by Dr. C. S Tanmane and Its Importance. Free Consulation was given by Dr. Mayuri Shingnapurkar, Dr. Priti Chaudhary. Free ECG test was done. Also Free eye chcekup facility was available for all participants by Dr. Manju Pawar and Dr. Sandeep Rajak. Medicines for various diseases, calcium and iron supplements were distributed among the participants. Medicines were sponsored by Charak Pharmaceuticals. IEC material was Distributed Alzheimer. A Total no of 56+ individuals benefited from the camp. The free health check-up camp organized by the Kayachikitsa department of BMAM Ayurved College at Nandanvan was a resounding success. It not only facilitated immediate health assessments for the elderly but also planted seeds for on-going health awareness in the community especially for Alzheimer disease. The elderly participants expressed appreciation for the free services provided and actively engaged in discussions regarding their health. Feedback forms were also fill-up by the participants.
